Canadian Showcases

DATES: January 12-16, 2009

 

We have had a large number of bands travel from Canada so we have decided to hold showcase dates in Canada. This will help you financially with travel expenses, and eliminate the pain of going through US Customs

After you register online you will receive a confirmation email from Band With a Mission sent to the email address you provided as your “contact email address” in the registration form. When you receive this email it will have a list of dates for you to choose from. You will need to respond with which date you would like to play as soon as possible. The Canadian dates are a little tricky because we will only be there for 5 days so the spots are extremely limited. The confirmation email will also have instruction as to what you need to bring, times you should arrive, the venue address, etc. You will arrive at the venue the day of your showcase, load in your gear and play your best, most marketable 3 songs. Since we will only be there for a couple of days and wont be able to hold a second round of showcases we might ask you to keep playing, in this case be prepared to have 5 songs ready and available. (always play your best songs first) When you are finished you will receive a pack with 2 of the 3 assessments, the 3rd is emailed to your “contact email address.” This pack will also include all of the sponsors information on how you can get involved with them. At that time you are free to stay at the venue and listen to the other bands or you can leave. We will be making our calls on who we will be working with within the next couple of weeks.
